We've had a problem with semi-trucks driving through our residential neighborhood.  A nearby restaurant, on a busy street receives produce and meat deliveries that are delivered in semi trucks.  I think the restaurant gets deliveries at least 2x a week.  After the stuff is delivered, the truck drivers cut through our neighborhood.  Our streets are ( Read more... )

If you say you are coming over to my house to hang out and will be here at a certain time...and then don't show up or call and say you can't make it after all; you better have a really good reason.  Deciding you don't feel like coming over and neglecting to call and tell me so, makes me not want to make time for you ever again.

Our dog Zoey thinks she is a little person.  Both dogs sleep in our bed with us.  Zoey has developed a fondness for sleeping beside me with her head on my pillow.  She will sometimes sleep with her face just a few inches away from mine.  Mostly this is pretty cute and fortunately she does not have bad breath.  It is really nice to snuggle with a ( Read more... )

I'm taking an 'artifact analysis' class this semester.  So far the course has been really great.  Today we took a test, where we each got an antique quilt block, multiple swatches of fabric and tiny pieces of thread.  The instructor also brought out 2 antique quilts for us to answer questions about.   We had to identify the dyeing and printing ( Read more... )
