Today, the Senate voted on whether to advance an Amendment banning the ability to burn flags.
It is part of the three cornered spear that Republican lawmakers are putting forward right before the election, to galvanize their base.

God, people have too much free time. Anyone who's going to not burn a flag because it's illegal probably shouldn't be burning flags anyway. That said, this Burns (R-MT) made me laugh a bit.

It kinda sucks that all of this history stuff is happening after we finished Gov't. Shouldn't senators be taking a break over the summer, too?
