I have to regularly remind myself that if life were simple and free of problems, it would be like eating dog food everday. If only my poor dog can use his paws to hold a stick and a sign, he'd would protesting daily.

I'm not a big fan of british movies especially the comedy genre because I don't when I'm suppose to laugh. But this last movie that I saw, Death at a Funeral, was an exception in that it got everything Charles Dickens would write about. Having stopped watching TV for a long time (6 years now), I find the show Hero not so bad at all. I especially like what Mr. Linderman character said about the nature of happiness and meanings in life. I've learned now that seeking pity from your fellow human when you feel lonely and unhappy is like eating lots of fatty food while trying to become fit and strong. There is something very powerful in the idea of relying on your own strength to survice.

Walmart is the same no matter where you are. Target on the other hand is very different depending on where you live. Compare to Walmart, I feel like I'm stepping into another world when shopping at some Target store. Seeing the apple eating scene in the movie Into the Wild reminds me so much of the idea that adversity builds character. I'm convinced that your appreciation of life is defined more by what you don't have and not what you have.

I think if there is a paradise for a blind but not deaf person, it must be very close to listening to music with these Etymotic earphones while having your eyes closed. The flat frequence response and true to source specifications must means music will sound great even without having your head covered in smoke.

I think if you truly understand a person's history, you'll be able to forgive, to tolerate, and even to like a lot of people. I think nature's greatest strength is her ability to create all posible variety of us including the serial killers, the pedeophiles, and the religious people.
