I love eating chutney's jam's pickles and other sorts of preserves. I have memories of my parents preserving fruits when we were kids using some sort of a pressure cooker to preserve pears, apricots, plums and peaches. OK so this book is entertaining but quite odd. It was printed in 1480 and was basically a part of, or an abridged version if you will, of Ranulph Higden's Polychronicon.
