So, uh, I'm not sure if I got it right, but Jared is married with kids and Jensen is his friend? Or are they joking and they are married and have kids. The end kind of confused me, a bit. Sorry.
I liked the story. There was all the feel of a harried work place and the stress and the unhappiness of having to do something that you really don't want to do.
It was also nice to see the way they are working so hard to make sure everything keeps on going. I felt really sorry for Jensen because he was trying so hard and giving his all, but Jared always pressed for more. I can relate with him wanting Jensen to support causes that are important but it's not alright to force someone to do it. It made Jensen uncomfortable and put him in a really bad spot as well.
I do hope that they are together at the end but as I said at the beginning I fear they are not.
Oh wow.......I have always loved the way you nail DC so very well. Very brave of you to not do the typical happy ending. In the end Jensen couldn't be what Jared wanted. It makes me sad but I think it's more truthful that they ended up as friends although I think Jared was foolish. Ideas and causes should never mean more than people. Well done!
I was enjoying this fic so much, right up until the very end. Great story, very well told, but I've gotto be honest, if I had been warned at the very start that they wouldn't end up together I would not have read it....I can see how and why they couldnt be together but the old romantic in me likes to drown out her reality with happy endings, where J2 are together lol.....now I leave this feeling sad.....I really wish I had been warned at the beginning of the fic.
Your fic made me cry - the ending of their relationship, Jensen's disillusionment and their group falling apart. So congratulations, because you made me feel for them and even if I'm sad, it's a compliment to you that the story touched me

Hmm, I'm not quite sure I get the ending- I'm a little sad if Jensen ended up alone and doing all this work and basically driving himself to an early heart attack, but I'm sort of intrigued by the ending if they're not together, I'm just not quite sure! But they did make a terrible couple, haha, so it's not a bad thing if they do it separately. Although it is a LITTLE depressing if Jensen goes from loving Jared to babysitting his kids while Jared is off being a successful politician and in a happy marriage. Like I said, not opposed to them not ending up together, a little opposed to Jensen ending up this not very well-liked lonely man, lol. Maybe because the way you write him- I sort of really liked him!
