i don't know about stamping books but i was with a friend when she went to the library and i thought we were going in but no, they have a drive-thru! not just to drop books off, to pick up ones you've ordered.
what does natalie like to read? or does she not like reading and that's why she's not good at it? my friend's six-year-old didn't like reading either plus he has ADHD so it's that much harder but she said when i got him some spider-man comics (above his reading level) he'd get them out himself and try to read them without anyone asking. i'll bet if you find out who her favorite tv or movie stars are and get magazines with stories about them or the books that go with their movies she'll read them. what did you have her read to you?
holy crap a drive thru library. seriously, i live in HICKSVILLE and i'm going to complain there is no drive thru the next time i'm at my library - ha ha.
natalie likes to read fiction. she is currently reading a book called "eggs" which is apparently pretty popular in the middle school crowd. i think it's completely inappropriate for her age (the main character's mom's dead body gets dragged into the woods and eaten by wolves) but it's required reading. in seventh grade i was reading "old yeller" and "a seperate peace."
