Well, friends. Chemo round seven is done.  Today - I feel not so great.  Let's document it in list form - shall we?

*Sick to my stomach.  My morning smoothie almost came back up on me twice on the way to work.  ( I drink it in the car)
*Headache.  Not a usual thing for me.  Am drinking coffee to combat headache - that may be counter productive for ( Read more... )

I start chemo round Seven on Sunday (if my pills get here tomorrow as expected).  This morning I started my day with what I call 'poo juice'.  In preparation for taking Temodar, I start taking Miralax a few days in advance.  So, 'poo juice' is any flavor of purple V8 fusion and Miralax.  By tomorrow morning my bowels will quiver in anticipation of ( Read more... )

On the 19th I took a yoga class with the intent of 'opening' my hips.  My joints ache.  Not just the hips, but most all of them at some point. and especially the little ones in my fingers.  My hips feel better following the class but now my main complaint is my neck and the middle of my back.  I imagine that the tin woodsman felt like this.  Like ( Read more... )

I got a letter from my surgeon (Dr. Parney) in regard to my last MRI.  He said that compared to the post op scan there was a significant reduction in tumor size.  I knew that the residual tumor had gotten smaller but that was the first time that someone had said significant reduction and I was pretty happy about it.  I would really love another ( Read more... )

Update bullet point version:

Monthly Doctor Visit:      blood work good so far managed to avoid flu cooties that have been going around.  Will keep on keeping on with my treatment plan.

MRI:    Good, no sign of problems or regrowth  Next one within three or four months

Today is the last day of this month's chemo.  I kinda don't feel fabulous.  But, on the other hand, I don't feel horrible either.  I could use a nap and that would probably set a bunch of things right for me.   The cavalry in my head is busy fighting cancer cells.  I have really vivid battle dreams at least a couple nights a week.  My team is all ( Read more... )
