awesome. this one's fun, I like this one. there's a linguistic, semantic dimension, but there's a larger issue. It is River's room only inasmuch as those who are not River define it that way. If River were to leave, but no one remembered it was her room, would it cease to be hers, though? If River still thinks of it as her room, then I guess it still is, but who's going to know? If a family moves and the kid who used to be in a particular room, and then the kid comes back and looks at his room that now has another kid in it. The new kid says "this is my room" and has no problem saying that, because it is. The old kid says, "this is my room" and has no problem saying that, because to him, it is. Is it all relative? How does reality define ownership? (I know how the world defines it, possession is nine-tenths of the law and whatnot). But is one viewpoint more valid? Hm...
