So, the whole reason I was even on Livejournal today was because I was trying to find some info on my last couple months at Comtel.  They recently filed for Bankruptcy and I was talking to a lawyer about what my options were for trying to get some of the money they owe me.  The lawyer got me a "Proof of Claim" form to fill out with exactly how much

So what exactly happened to Comtel? well, they just stopped paying us. so we stopped going to work. rumour has it that the owner fled the country cause he was involved in some very very bad shit in other areas. and when his money source (comtel) was no longer available, he had some nasty people looking for him! apparently he owes Verizon over a billion dollars from equipment purchases.

That's an ijpressive amount of money owed to you. - well, they owed us hourly wages for March and April and commissions from Jan - April. they really took us for all we were worth!

me too! i'm hoping that whatever money was acquired from selling off Comtel's stores (computers, leftover phones, etc) that there's a little left for us!

I was just thinking about that this weekend. Mom asked what you were up to and why you'd quit Comtel, and all I could remember was badness and no paychecks. Kudos and rock on!

technically, we didn't necessarily "quit" comtel. we just stopped going to work after they stopped paying us!
