Except ST dealt with the societal consequences of this plot device in TOS pilot "The Cage", and the follow up ep "The Menagerie". and from an individual addition standpoint TNG dealt with it via the eps with Reginald Barclay, "Hollow Pursuits" and VOY ep "Pathfinder"...

Yes, the failsafes in the holodeck won't allow for pr0n. This was the only way to prevent the dilithium crystals from being depleted running the deck nonstop. Have you noticed how upright and proper all those STNG people were?
