My dad just called to tell me that one of his sisters has stage three ovarian cancer (there are four stages of cancer, with stage four being the worst). She had emergency surgery to get everything removed, and the doctors think the cancer was contained. She is going to start chemo in the near future. Well, the semester is over! Too bad I'm taking one of my classes incomplete. I have until the sixth week of spring semester to get everything done. I left Italy December 5, 2004. I still feel bad for my mom: when I saw her and my dad at Sea-Tac, she was crying because she hadn't seen me in months and was happy. I was crying because there was nothing I wanted more in the world than to get on a plane and go back.
