Gosh, I've just read five chapters and I just had to stop to take it all in. I think I understand why you said it blew your mind.

I've read DH Lawrence before, his Sons And Lovers and I have to admit, although the story was rather enjoyable (I like the way Lawrence tries to define the Oedipus Complex through Paul Morel x3) I did find the prose rather tedious at times. As for Lady Chatterley's Lover, I confess I only wanted to read it because of its infamous reputation XD;

Hahaha! But, I've decided to go with Murakami's Coin Locker Babies. I mean, it gripped me from the very first page!

The woman pushed on the baby's stomach and sucked its penis into her mouth; it was thinner than the American menthols she smoked and a bit slimy, like raw fish. She was testing to see if the baby would cry but the little arms and legs were still, so she peeled away the plastic wrapping over its face. She lined the cardboard box with towels, laid the baby inside, and taped the box shut. Then she tied it with a string and wrote up a made-up name and address on the side with big print.

Oh Sharon, how on earth can you pass up a first paragraph like that? >__< And it gets better and better too! I'm still reading it though! I totally recommend it to you! :D

Yay! Mission accomplished! I do that to my real life friends! XDD One year, I made three of my closest friends a whole batch of cookies each (the way I make them, each batch is 34-36 cookies) because I had the time and my mom had bought way too many baking chips, chocolate, butterscotch (or how I say 'scutterbotch'! ^^), vanilla, and other miscellaneous ones. X)
