Thank goodness for reading week. I think I'd go mad without it. I managed to talk my manager into only giving me 3 shifts this week, so I'm not working after Wednesday, and I have today off because we're closed, so I get a lot of time to chill. So, I realized something this morning while not paying attention in anthropology...I get restless. This wasn't a problem when I was small because we moved around a lot, and it wasn't a problem until the past couple years because we'd take vacations and go on trips. yup. we are having another godforsaken bookfair. I would rather be shot...seriously, I would. We have no chair this time (last time we stole display lawn furniture), and people are significantly ruder. So the past few days have been insane. i've been out and running around everyday since last friday, and let me say that i've had a few great adventures. Volunteering at a golf tournament, i found out that i can drink 7 shots with no effect at all, pretty good considering 2 beers and both my parents have to have a nap ( Read more... )

So, after 4 weeks of working at the coffee shop, i am quitting. not because i hated the job itself, because i would work at a starbucks no problem, but the way that it was run. i am really scared because i will be the second person this week to quit, but the other person just phoned and wouldn't come in anymore whereas i am giving a two week notice ( Read more... )

shopping was uber fun. we stopped at this mall in syracuse that was supposed to have a macy's and a bloomingdale's, but it had a macy's (which was crazy expensive) and an H & M, where i got pants and a sweater thing for cheap, which rocked. the next day my parents rented  boat and we had to go out on this lake with it, and it was really windy and ( Read more... )
