Okay, normally I would say that this is a little soon but uh. Ronan's rapidly become my spammer and so, I think he has enough to talk about first impressions and the like.

So! Comment away and I'll explain his first impressions of everyone. This is just for Ronan, because the others don't have first impressions anymore.

Delirium
So Ronan's canonical reaction to meeting Powers is a mixture of terror and wonder (the mix varies depending on how terrifying the Power is). Del's definitely a Power, and she's one that freaks Ronan out because he understands better than most just what that entails. So Delirium sort of ...scares him because he understands that she's far beyond what he can comprehend, and what he does comprehend is sort of "whoa shit get in the caaaaar". He knows she perceives things differently to him and it frightens him because he's able to understand just what that means. So he'll do whatever she wants, because annoying a Power is not a Good Thing. Nervous boy is nervous?

Violet
So. Violet pings Ronan on the front of being a pretty, intelligent girl. She doesn't ping him like Nita would or girls like Nita because she's not, and she reminds him more of the girls back home in Ireland -- if you push them, they fall over and it's not as fun. He's a guy who likes the banter and the being kicked in the head when he screws up, so Violet's ( ... )

Del thinks Ronan is funny. (Del thinks most people are funny.) She likes that he's afraid of her, because it means she can drag him around as a playmate and he won't say no. Basically she's going OH LOOK A NEW TOY. Um. Selfish Power is selfish?

Violet kinda likes Ronan... she's just met him so she's trying to be inoffensive, but he's sort of a dick and he doesn't seem like he's going to try to kill her so. She's getting closer to not backing down and apologizing. Because kicking Kieran is giving her a backbone. Anyway, yeah, "settling into the role of a friend" about sums it up on her front too.

They met so briefly, so I don't know if he'd have an impression for Crowley yet.

Ronan, mostly, wants to kind of crawl in a hole and die. HE DIDN'T MEAN TO BE SO HORRIBLE ABOUT YOUR DEAD GIRLFRIEND. This is unfortunately horribly canon for Ronan so yeah. Good times.

ohhh Sophie. Ronan has no idea what to make of you at the moment. On the one hand, he's seen that Violet and Jaime (along with the rest of the Boys 15 kids) adore and respect Sophie And when he first spoke to her, he could see certain traits that would certainly engender these sorts of reactions -- she's brave, a little sarcastic and very pretty. When she offered him cabin space, he was interested because hey! New people! Then he found out that Sophie's intentions towards having him in the cabin were not just "hey, new boy" but additionally "hey, new Powers, I think they hate me so I want them here so that I can be hated all the time". Ronan was ... less than keen on this, not only because no person with a shred of compassion would want to be in that situation, but also because she didn't think to tell him about it first. She let him walk into it blind and when he went "h-hey!", Sophie only picked up part of his concerns with it -- that he was anxious as to what this would do to her. She didn't pick up on how this would ( ... )

in which i conclude that sophie is really an screwed-up asshole. worthtempting August 8 2007, 13:22:27 UTC
AS WELL HE PROBABLY SHOULD BE. Confusing Sophie is confusing ;; Let me see if I can lay out her actual thoughts, because...yeah, she's an asshole and a retard sometimes. This is obviously one of them ( ... )

Okay, I think I strayed from my point there. The point was that Sophie invited Ronan to the cabin not just in the assholish tool aspect--she wants to get over the fear, not make herself miserable, but yeah, still an asshole move--but because he seemed like someone she could like, and, equally as importantly, the type that'd fit in with the company of kids with issues. Jaime latching onto him as he did helped solidify the second one ( ... )
