if what they say is true, that the way you spend new years eve is the way the following year would turn out, then i remember clearly that when the clock struck midnight my stomach hurt from laughing, we were walking down the street as explosions filled the sky, and i felt a certain comfort that made me unsure of my cynicism for 2008.
