Last night, I dreamed that I was meeting the staff at work in the shower of a pool. We were talking about the atandards. The showers were not working properly and soon the room was starting to flood. Last month, I had a play reading. It was not the first play reading I have done, but it was a momentous occasion nonetheless. I heard my play that has won an award for the first time and I heard the piece through the voices of actors who really captured something incredible in my writing. Getting myself adjusted for a new schedule with a new job, I haven't been very faithful with my writing, but now more than ever, I have to make sure that my writing gets more of a committment. Last night, our guinea pig, Natalie, passed away. She was the daughter of Fontana, who passed away last November. She was a more lively girl, a little more social and vocal than her mother. It's amazing how attached one can get to their pets.

So the day after my playreading, I am definitely more confident in the play. It really makes a huge difference to hear the words being sadi over just reading them on the page. My three actors did a great job of getting the characters and I can definitely see where to take the story. The play had more life to it than even I thought and it actually ( Read more... )
