I have this sudden, huge craving to read The Taming of The Shrew, Hetalia-fied. I could have sworn I saw it somewhere on the kinkmeme...
If not, then I'll just have to write it, won't I? ;D I can't quite decide between Spamano and PruHun for Katherina/Petruchio. Either way, it's going to be this utterly odd version of The Taming, and I probably

i think spamano would be good, that would be what id go for if i was writing it. then again if you do it in a certain way, pru/hun could be really interesting.
WRITE IT. ill cheer! :O

PruHun would be interesting. And different. The only downside is that Hungary doesn't have a "sibling" in canon >: (Then I thought of using Poland. Oh my.)

hmmm. lol maybe germany should be lucentio and prussia should be tranio? except theyre a broteam and not a master-servant team. other than that i have no idea XD baptista = rome yes?
hahahahahhaa with the "taming" part, spain "tames" romano with his stupidity- basically "D< youre so stupid that being mean to you makes things harder than being nice to you!!!" and with pru/hun, if you did that, he would tame her with his craziness. basically she has no recourse but to choose her battles with him, or else shell be thoroughly exhausted.
i can see prussia buying beautiful dresses etc. just to rip them up as an aside XD

PFT YES. SOMETHING LIKE THAT. PruHun would be more canon to the actual story, I suppose. Because they really would be quite an equal physical match for each other and all. AND YES ABOUT PRUSSIA AND THE DRESSES.
I haven't actually finished the whole thing yet though (we're studying it as one of our texts for Literature class), so I'll probably only really do something about this when we're further along.

"The Taming of the Shrew" has some kickass repartee but I can't bring myself to like it too much because of the ending. >_> Though directors interpret it differently. One production (according to a friend) had Kate deliver her monologue with a very straight face and then drag Petruchio off stage by the ear while smirking.
