Hi, dear sweet one. I just wanted you to know I occasionally read LJ and am glad to see you post. And I'm really glad you can say "I'm gay." You just have no idea how it makes the world seem brighter to hear people (especially people I love) say that ... knowing you can say it, seeing that you feel free to say it, and knowing you understand that it's not just okay, it's great, because it's you ... these things give me hope for the world my kids will encounter as teenagers.

Big virtual hug from meggy!

Thank you so much! It really means tons to hear you say that.

I was actually quite suprised today, because so many supported me and my friends in the day of silence. More than half the school, I would say.

Hello dear.

i participated in the day of silence today too! i did it last year as well. It's very important for me to do so because i pride myeslf on being an Ally to the LBGTQ community. last year i did a 3 hour safe-zone training that allowed me to be a safe place to go for anyone on campus who is questioning. i have a sign on my doorm room and i am very proud of it.

Ally it is wonderful to hear that you are comfortable to be able to tell people that you are gay. i know it isn;t an easy process (i never had to go through it myself but have had many friends who have). You know i am always here for support if you need it. Let's keep fighting the good fight and one day all of the discrimination will be over.

*BIG HUGS!*

you know that if your sister is going to be in college in boston i am less than an hour away SO you must visit me when you go visit her :)
