Am I broke? Probably not, but that's why we have overdraft facilities at the bank, isn't it?
I never see my money anyway. My wages are paid directly into the bank, and all the regular bills (gas, electricity, cable TV, phone, broadband access, life insurance, house insurance, car insurance, mortgage, personal loan, TV license, pet insurance) are paid by direct debit and with any luck there's a bit left over at the end of each month.
The only money I actually have is usually my bus fare and lottery money, and maybe some for petrol for the car.
I know there is money in the bank, that I get paid on the last working day of the month, that my bills are paid throughout the month, but I rarely SEE more than a few pounds of actual cash.
