*ouch* I do hope the damage to your muscles is minimal. I know people who've had trouble for months with their backs even though there was no apparent damage during impact. (Not to be a spoilsport or anything).

I'm just fine. The deer didn't hit me directly, luckily. A bit stiff/sore, but some quality time in the gym at lunchtime helped that immensely.
The bike was even rideable after the hit. Just had to be careful of the dangling turn signal.

I'm not too worried about the deer... all the deer by me are stupid. Happy to hear that you survived it with minimal damage to yourself.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I had a deer following along side my car the other night and I didn't dare to go too fast til it went away, for fear I'd speed up and it'd decide to jump in front of me at that moment. Finally, after about a minute of this cat and mouse...I stopped my car all together and let it bounce along.
