I have been coming across so many people saying (in as many words) that they are "good people" because they are Christians/Mormon/whatever, as they gossip and cheat on their significant others and lie and steal and all of that. but since they have a bible on their bedside table & a cross around their neck, it's all good.

people keep using God like a get-out-of-jail-free card. when it really doesn't work like that.

So many people do that. That's why I became an atheist. I don't want to associate myself with such a corrupt religion.
