Things are good.

Ah, I'm on spring break right now, and I have about half a week left. Sunday and Monday I spent some time in the metals studio, making gears for my necklace project. Last Wednesday there was a wood project due, and prior to that I pulled almost a week straight of all-nighters. I'm still recovering from that, but I was the only one in my class to ( Read more... )

See, ma' boy? It's all a matter of perspective. Sure, some schools may have told you no, but maybe that's for the better since you might end up free to travel to be nearer to this lovely, young lady. Remember Tom, when you find a girl that loves wood... you never let her go ;c).

I totally get you on the whole dating thing. I found out about a month ago that this guy I used to work with at Target had a crush on me and that's why he'd always come to my lane. We dated for a few weeks and it was perfect. To me, at least. Unfortunately he's got a lot on his plate these days, so he broke up with me and I was crushed. We're going to try the whole friend thing, but when I ran into him at a bar tonight, it was slightly awkward.

Also, the last super serious relationship I had was with a guy who was in Chicago doing a fellowship for a year. We started dating in February and he moved for grad school in June. It didn't work out, obviously, but I know now it wasn't meant to be.

I hope things work out for you, school, girl and otherwise.

Thanks Coley. Life's strange like that sometimes. Sorry it didn't work out.

You don't write much in here these days, do you?

I never use LJ to write. I did transfer a ton of entries to it and made them friends only, but that was because of a class action lawsuit against a job I had. My real blog is at http://raspberryconverse.blogspot.com

We're attempting a friendship and actually ran into each other at a bar last night. It was a little awkward, but we'll see how it goes. I feel if I keep him in my life, when the dust settles it might be able to work again.
