I guess we've become storm central this year. The storm part isn't so bad cuz I like storms, the bad part is that these wicked muthers are killing people. I haven't seen it this bad in a long time either. Another weird thing is that St. Louis seems to escape the worst of the hits. When all those tornados hit all we got was just a little rain... and ( Read more... )

enjoy your visit with your family, Tommy. nothing like good home-cooked food - especially the scents.

Mom and I are also going to try a few new recipes I found, like Buttermilk pie, and Philly cheesesteak meatloaf, which I'll be sure and post up if they are worth eating :)

Regarding storms - out here in Kansas City, I really miss St. Lou because a lot of storms bypassed the metro.
My hubby moved us into the last subdivision before farmland. And ya know - you can take the girl out of the city....and she will freak out when the tornado sirens go off - only because it's a definite possibility that that damn twister is coming for you!

More on the way too... can we say EEP!! One of these days the law of averages is going to catch up and St. Lou is gonna get hit with something really nasty...

I saw that you baked some last night (insert jealous look) :) They're my ultimate favorite cookie, and mom and I will definetly be bakin some up -- her recipe makes 5 dozen :)

Yeah that is about how many we ended up with. It makes a lot of cookies! We will be having a lot of tea and cookies around here for a while. I think I might have to bring some over to a friends house too because that is a lot of them to eat up for just the two of us and I am trying NOT to gain weight. However if you lived in the hood I would be like "Oooooooh Tommy, come and have tea and cookies and eat all that you can eat and take some home"

Heh, mom sent me home with 2 dozen X-mas and not one survived till the next day ;P I imagine that we'll be baking more than just one batch while I'm down there ;)

It is so good to see a post from you. Now get your little butt out in the fresh air and EAT! I wish I could send you some of my lasagne, but the bulk-mail carriers are only allowed to lift so much. Get the air, get your wits and energy back and see how you feel.

Big hugs from "Passing Wind".

Catchy name for the place, eh?

The double entendre was on purpose. There have been a grand total of maybe three days that we had winds of less than 5 mph. The other reason, have you ever lived with a vegetarian?
