Grumpiness of the weekend: an episode of Phineas and Ferb (Disney Channel kid's show) misquoted Shakespeare: "What hempen homespuns have we swaggering here" was changed to "What flaxen homespuns...". Sounds like somebody at Disney got nervous about "hemp". "Flax" scans, at least, and probably nobody noticed but me... but I noticed.

My opinion: the name "Sarah Palin" will be used in 2012 exclusively by page 8 news reports asking, "Remember when everybody was convinced Sarah Palin was going to be important? Whatever happened to that?"

Tomorow's Annapolis Half Marathon has a beer tent.

The race begins at 7 AM. I aim to be done by 8:35 AM. I will certainly be done well before 9 AM.

Beer... apparently, it's what's for breakfast.

I'm looking for a chemistry set, preferably with plastic beakers, to help dress a scene with a mad scientist in my next play (Pericles) for the Rude Mechanicals. If you have something that you can loan us, I'd be really grateful.
