This is so gorgeous and relatable and real. I love love love the way you bring in the overlay that is so evident in our lives we share with the world the universe eternity. I like your poem!

Thanks! Someday I really want to dig into poetry and read a bunch and study it and work hard on my own. For now, I’m thankful for Idol kicking me into it occasionally.

I like the choice you made to phrase this section the way you did: "it mirrors the look of smaller biology on a macro scale. The rivers as veins, as capillaries. The hills like muscle over bone."

A walk from everyday concern into poetic mountain tops. Movement from prose into verse. I feel a real person here, a character dwelling, in her head, on daily social needs, and moving into a more private, and yes, more simple place, where, paradoxically, one reflects the universal hunger to make something macro rise up from the micro. Or vice versa? Perhaps I babble. Thank you for sharing your vision with us.
