I'm strongly considering getting a tattoo, but I'm not sure what I should get. It would be on my upper arm/shoulder area.

Or...maybe I'll just design my own. Who knows?!?!

you preempted me you so and so! but yes I also think it is a dumb idea. tattoos very rarely look cool and the only reason mikey's works is because she is pretty enough to make you forget that it's there. plus you run a huge risk of getting a fad tattoo that will be viewed as very stupid years later; enter the tribal arm band. but think about it for a month or two and maybe even get a temporary version of it and if you can look at it everyday for a month and are ok with it then I would say go for it.

Yeah, I don't know why Adam and Allen are assuming you'll get some dumb thing. Get something that means something to you, maybe something for your family? Dunno, but never a bad idea to have something you see everyday, that's a part of you, that you like a lot, that's close to you... and looks tasteful. Yup! Dunno what you should get though... Up to you! Think about what is already with you forever and visualize that. Something you live by, something you love to the core... jah.

Yeah, I think as long as it is meaningful, you'll like it. Like think it over for a few months, but when you're solid on an idea, and still want it a few months later, definitely go for it. My tattoos are part of me, and I love them, like I can't imagine a me without them, or a me without getting more :D Bwahaha!
Anyhoo, just don't do something dumb, and do something meaningful.. and also don't do something super generic. Make it custom somehow. And make sure you find a good place.. check reviews. You don't want a shitty job when it comes to something permanent.
