Very slippy out there. Need to work late, so I'm hoping that traffic will be clear when I leave to allow me to wander wildly across the road with colliding with anything.

Well, my mother has made a remarkable recovery. She's walking at least as well as she was when she broke her femur two weeks ago. The improvement may be down to the fact that they gave her an injection to reduce the pain she gets from arthritis in her knee while she was in hospital, but I'm so pleased she's got some quality of life again. Well, on top of having inoperable cancer, my mother has now broken her thigh bone. I'm so sorry for her. She was managing to have a reasonable quality of life, now she has months of discomfort and physio to fit in to what time she has left. Took a day off yesterday to spend with my eldest son, just before he starts back at school today. Went to Glasgow to see The Simpsons movie, then took him climbing at the Glasgow Climbing Centre, which I prefer to Alien rock, just because it's a bit less cramped. Onto antibiotic number 2 for my chest infection. Hope this works. Reading the notes inside the packet it does seem to be specifically for my symptoms. I suspect it's more expensive than the first one they gave me, so they have a bash with the cheap general one first and only prescribe this one if the first doesn't work. Well, off to the doc's, again. I've spent more time in doctors and hospitals in the last six months than I have in my whole life to date. The appointment was originally to discuss pain that has now dissapeared and to see if I have a referral for my contact dermatitis, but this cough needs to get sorted, so that's my priority. Cough is still bad, though got a good night's sleep last night. I'm setting my sights on being well enough to play badminton next Monday. Have missed the last 3 weeks due to various aches and pains. It's the only real exercise I get at the moment and I really enjoy it.
