My mother and the everlasting smile.

When I was young me and my mother were pretty close. I don't think I ever really stopped to wonder about whether it was nice to be close to her, whether it felt nice. I know I regretted it sometimes because...we spent so much time together and she was so over protective...it's like she got really jealous if I spent lots of time with friends ( Read more... )

good for you. that's bullshit. I don't smile much either. My relaxed face tends to be a sort of frown I suppose. Even my boss does the same thing. We always talk about how much we hate when people say to us: Why don't you smile? It's like, get the fuck away from me! Now I'm definitely not gonna smile!

I hate those corporation places that want everything to be fake happy, puppies & rainbows. Have they ever had to work a cash register for 8 straight hours? Probably not. Hence why I work at a small company.

i work in a grocery store and have been doing it for way too long but anyway. i barely ever smile. its just not my thing. for the most part im happy and espeically in work its just kinda hard to be in a bad mood. but u wouldnt believe how many people tell me i should smile or ask why im not smiling. like hello, am i supposed to scan ur groceries with a ridiculous grin on my face. i'd look like a complete idiot. im all set. so yeah i know exactly what you mean. ya know what else i am trying to avoid laugh lines. sometimes i tell people that. im like hey ur gonna look 40 and im not so bite me.

Hey i am trying to update Alternate_notebooks and i have down that you were last with ottergirl's Black Clouds with silver linings. I wanted to see if you still have that book and if there is anything we can do to help get it moving again?
Thanks for your help!

Oh wow, I haven't had that book in ages. I sent it to the person on the list after me, but I'm pretty sure I made an entry saying I had sent it out and to whom and everything.

Oh No! Well i will let her know that it was headed on maybe she has a list of who it was to go to. i have gone through the post back to last October and not found any other reference to this book so whomever you sent it to is not claiming it. Thanks for letting me know though so I can let the group know.

No problem. I hope I got the post address right, it'd just be like me to mess up something simple like that.
Anyway, if it helps I think the girl I sent it too lived in CA also. I don't know why that would help at all but maybe.
