The combination laundry/bathroom that we've been painting and hanging cabinets in has a stained-wood windowframe that we decided to leave as stained wood and not paint.   We carefully masked it.  Today I took the masking off, and noticed all these smears of paint...Wha..?  We had some problems with the paint leaking through the masking tape, ( Read more... )

I have, this afternoon, successfully cast on a bunch of stitches and made about an inch of knitting work.  Ow, my arms and hands ache.  I'll get used to the contortions eventually, I know, and it will be as second-nature as I find crochet to be...some day.

Today's lesson:  When the folks at Lane County Blood Bank said "no heavy lifting," that includes two-year olds.  Oops.

They took good care of me after I nearly passed out in their parking lot.

Went with our neighbor's church camping trip to Crane Prairie Reservoir in Eastern Oregon for three nights.

We decided to drive out by way of Bend, rather than Hwy 58. Stopped at Sahalie Falls along the way to let the kids stretch their legs:
