Okay, sometimes I'm awesome.
So my classmate and I are doing this literacy center project for my Reading Methods class. Basically we have to have a bunch of reading/writing activities centered around a trifold board. So my contributions were readers theater scripts, and magnetic poetry. Except NOBODY IN CHICAGO OR THE SURROUNDING AREA SEEMS TO CARRY MAGNETIC POETRY ANYMORE. ( Read more... ) -

well, that was a pain in the ass
But at least it's done (mostly). The back, unfinished part of the basement is finally clean, which it hasn't been since...well, since we had the big flood. So like 5 years? I still need to go over it with the shopvac one more time to pick up dust, and then vacuum the carpeted bits, but I'm putting that off until later in the week. My allergies are ( Read more... ) -

As an addendum to my last post: I just saw that my financial aid disbursed today, in the full amount. The fall semester is 100% paid for, and I even have enough extra rolling over to pay for my books. All with no out-of-pocket cost for us ( Read more... ) -
