once i read this quote from a very smart person who now needs to read this just as much as i do..

People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within.

So last night i had "the" talk with my dad. I wanted to cry the whole time, just because it felt so good to get that weight off of my shoulders. There has been so much I always wanted to tell him, and make him understand why i am who i am. Now he knows. I have decided that i need to quit letting the things that DO NOT matter run and ruin my life. I have to be happy, and i WILL NOT let where i live and the things i have known until now dictate the rest of my life.
