So, in New Jersey, on May 1 we have a law going into effect that requires all provisional drivers (17 year olds) to put bright red stickers on their license plates identifying that they are 17 ( Read more... )

I think its unnecessary for them to put red stickers on their license plates. I don't think it will help save lives because there are bad drivers at any age.

I do agree with the one passenger rule

IA, and I don't really see the point of the stickers at all. But the one passenger rule makes a lot of sense.

Well I don't understand the reason to specifically put a "17" sticker on your license plate. Why can't they just check their license when they pull them over?

I think the point is so they can tell if you're breaking the law by looking at your car and then pulling you over.

i broke pretty much all the 'underage driver' laws when i was first driving at 16 anyways, and kids still will.

I think they should do this with ALL drivers who've had their licenses for less than three years, regardless of age.
