Just read all of the chapters in one go and I love it. I love the harshness of the first few chapters, dark and stark and gorgeous (bit of an angst whore myself!). And then the breakdown on Christopher's arms is just so perfect.

Its a beautifully written piece here, and I can't wait for more.

And as you post this, I'm finally picking up the fic again after a long hiatus. I feel bad for leaving it alone for so long, but real life caught up with me.

Your icon is adorable btw!!

Hey real life comes first always!

I love CJ/Oliver/baby prawn (whatever you want to call him!)

Fascinating read, although yeah, grammar could use work. Still, it's well thought out so far and I like the liberties you've taken with the prawn social structure. I like the contrast between CJ's interpretation of prawn speech and Wikus' perception of it as foreign.

Although, as a biologist I must say that the prawn respiratory system could not be like an insect's. Insects use a highly efficient combination of spiracles and trachea to allow oxygen to diffuse into their veinless circulatory system, but unfortunately it just doesn't work when scaled up - it would collapse under its own weight. It's more likely that they have internal lungs.
