Your words remind me of the time I didn't want to be a dad anymore. I was being beaten with attitude, pummeled with teenage angst, thumped with silence, seared with angry looks, sliced with sarcasm, aghast at sorry grades, suffered slammed doors, anxious of secrecy, broken by "I hate you looks," stiffed for cash in college, simply worn down by living with a teen. Yeah, I've been there. There is a bright side though. He turned out really well. I thoroughly enjoy any time spent with him now. He had to go through all of it to become who he is now and he is still becoming. Right proud of the boy these days.

You did help!!! At least I now know that other people are going through this. What you described is exactly what is happening here. Chris is so angry and has such a horrible attitude. Oh, and those looks he gives me, just like you said "I hate you looks"

So it's going to be like this for the rest of his teenage years??? *sigh* He'll be 14 in Sept.
