Today, I definitively proved that 6e^t=3e^t.  No, this shouldn't be possible.  However, today, there was a leprechaun t in my problem set, and it made things very, very difficult.  This t was encompassing whole ranges of numbers - real and imaginary - *at the same time.*  This t appeared in solutions that were supposed to be integrated with respect ( Read more... )

Boston is wonderful today.  The chilling breeze makes a body burn calories at a faster rate, the puddles are beginning to host new life (and the ones that aren't have the prettiest oil sheens), the clouds are a particularly lovely shade of silvery gray, and I got As on both of my Tuesday exams.  This last bit does mean, though, that the last shreds ( Read more... )
