So I broke my ankle. I didn't just break it a little bit either. I have a trimalleolar fracture. Google it. It's bad. I broke all the bones (and tore all the other bits) that attach my foot to my leg. After I did it my foot was backwards. Exactly one year ago today I was happy. We were having the first night away we had ever had since Rory was born. We went to a wedding and then stayed in a beautiful Art Deco hotel in the city for the night. I have a new nephew. He is tiny and cute and I love him. He also reminds me of everything that I have lost. I should be happy, he is healthy - his mum is healthy and everything has turned out with a fairy tale happy ending for them.

Instead I am angry, jealous and just really fucking sad that I didn't get my fairy tale ending.

Prior to the beginning of 2009, back when I wasn't a nervous wreck, nothing fazed me. Stress did not exist in my world. I just did what I had to do and got on with life. Everything seems to be falling apart. Somehow we have gone from having a happy, stress free and comfortable life to this. I cannot cope with anything. We are always broke. There is always tension. So a few days ago I went to see my doctor. It was a complete waste of time and I think I have possibly lost all respect for her. I told her that I had gone off the tablets she had prescribed and I also told her why. Without blinking she turned to her computer and printed out a prescription for another sort of antidepressants.
