Well, we woke up today with news of a foiled terror plot at Heathrow, which meant that we spent a while checking the news and seeing whether our flight home would be cancelled. It looks as though we'll be able to come home on the planned Saturday flight, but security is heightened, so we're planning on getting to the airport about six hours early ( Read more... )

Bryn and I are now in Cardiff, Wales, staying with his cousin Afion (Avion) and his wife Sarah Jane. They have a cute little townhouse right in the middle of the city, and we plan on going out for brunch in a little bit. Late tonight I'll be on a plane to Minneapolis, then to Detroit, then to London. Then I'll be on a train to Brighton, and a couple of days later, I'll be driving (on the wrong side of the road) to Wales.

Two weeks in the U.K., a place I haven't visted since living there back in 2000.
