Perhaps, but they weren't ALWAYS different. I think Delillo is wrong- it is in part Buspar, but Buspar has created in me a superego-superpower that functions in dreams sort off like Buffy by way of Marshall Macluhan, in which it is psychically attuned to the psychiatric power of pop culture. I, like Buffy (and perhaps Macluhan), am reluctant to wield this sort of power, so I'm sort of hoping this side effect goes away with continued usage, along with the side effect where for about an hour after taking it I stumble around dazed and sort of horny.
i cried when i read this post. "And since each personality is NOT a person, but instead a cottage industry which must encourage more and more exposure in order to survive, one cannot engage in any aspect of American culture without receiving a heavy and possibly fatal injection of these personalities, and it is inevitable that eventually they will obscure all other aspects of life- romance, job, sense of self- and leave it with piles and piles of celebrity recognition." i don't know you, but this is really on.
