Well, I've made it back home safe and sound. Been here about three weeks now. I have a new (bigger) apartment, which I love - it has its own washer/dryer! It's kind of silly to be thrilled about something like that, but its much better than using a communal laundry. My poor cat. I had to take him into the vet today as an almost-emergency because he hasn't been able to go to the bathroom -it's apparently a critical thing if they're blocked. They kept him for half the day for tests, and the vet said that while he doesn't have kidney stones or a UTI he's probably having trouble going because of stress. ( Read more... )

Well, I got back from my trip this weekend, and though I'm glad to be back (at least I was until I saw the mess I'd left), I had a grand time in Vegas. Who cares about drinking and gambling? I'm a person who travels a lot, so I usually know the cans and can'ts of air travel. So I know that we still can't bring liquids with our carry on, and that the airports still have a broad definition of what, exactly constitutes a 'liquid'. I go and agree to cat-sit 3 cats for this family that just moved here...I ended up having them for a week and a half because they wouldn't/couldn't pay to have them boarded until they moved into their new house.
