School starts soon. Too soon, if you ask me. I really don't want to go back to having a load of coursework and very little free time. On the other hand, I won't be stuck in this house with Mother, which is really rather miserable. In that vein, I also have Quidditch to look forward to. Might I suggest simply being open to finding a girlfriend? Seems like a lot less work for more desirable results.

Perhaps, but I'd much rather find a girlfriend before my parents start trying to get me into an arranged marriage, because, honestly, I'd rather marry a girl who I actually care for, not just some rich girl my parents see fit to force me to marry.

That sounds reasonable, actually. My brothers kept joking about arranging a marriage for me over the summer, and even if it was a joke, I swear I kept breaking out in hives at the very thought.

Precisely.You want to be sure that you at least like the person you're going to be spending the rest of your life with (preferably love, I assume) and so do I.

Believe me, if my parents weren't the sort to arrange a marriage for me without so much as consulting me first, I wouldn't be concerned at all about finding a girlfriend.

Hm, it's a shame to think that your parents might consider arranging a marriage or your getting a girlfriend as more important than just finishing the school year unmolested by such useless pursuits.

Perhaps, but it's not like I have much else to do besides Quidditch. I'm dropping at least two classes, so I won't have to work so hard to keep up.

Have you considered extracurricular activities, perhaps? Because, I mean, using this new-found free time to (/something is scratched out here)

Never mind. I would suppose that new-found free time is more of a blessing than it is an opportunity to wonder what to fill it with.

All the same, I do wish you luck on your, ah-- search for love (or a passable substitute)?
