Yeah I skip over yours too. I have that same feeling that nobody really knows me, but it's probably because I don't let them. I don't think any of my friends could name my favorite movies or things to listen to. I also have trouble finding angry music to listen to when something (or someone) pisses me off. Lately, it's Aborted and Impaled, but like you, I've really veered away from hardcore and metal as of late. I'm pretty sure none of this shit matters, but I just wanted you to know I'm there for you, even though I may not show it.
