First available weekend, mate. That is, first available Saturday for you. I've got this deal with the priest going so just let me know when's good for you.
I knew your son was a genius. It was a long shot that he'd be anything but, you know?
Next weekend's fine with me, I can organise other things around that, it's not a problem.
There'd have to be some severe genetic mixup, I reckon.
...I suppose I better break out the hypothetical. What if...someone made a promise to you a bit back, and it's quite clear they're breaking it and attempting to keep that from you, but, you're quite sick of arguing with this person, and things seem to have calmed down a bit, so you don't really want to bring it up. What should said hypothetical person do?
Alright. This weekend. I'll make sure to get things ready for then.
Hypothetical person needs to take some things into account. For one, what sort of promise is it? There are different greys of promises. If it was a big promise that hypothetical person held near and dear to their heart, it would be wise to mention something. Especially if it affects our poor hypothetical person. Now if it's not, if it's something hypothetical person can live with in order to maintain the peace, then I'd tell that person to let it go.
What if it was a combination of both? A promise which is somewhat negligable, and could well be ignored, but was made by someone who said person should be able to rely on to keep their promises. Also one which said person got shouted at for breaking himself, albeit under different circumstances.
A time traveller? Does that mean I get odd clothes from the 18th century? Oh, come on, you know tailcoats and wigs are hot. Or would I be the spartan warrior wearing nothing but a cloak and his sandals? Wink.
