This morning I am going to the CERT breakfast. I wonder if they will squawk about the increased meals tax (@_@)

Well today is a good day to stop shopping. The Sales tax just went from 5% to 6.25%. I suspect the stores with computerized registers will have fun hoping they don't crash or pick up the wrong tax percentage. There was nothing I needed anyway.

I have to say that this is the best Christmas ever. I didn't get stressed buying gifts. I didn't go overboard cleaning house. And I saw most of the people I care about. I very rarely check Livejournals by me or by others. I just realized a year has gone by since my last entry. Usually when I have something to say, I say it directly to anyone who will listen, again and again and again....

Today Captain Billy Powers and his wife, Beth took Mark and I for a two hour walk through Jacob's Meadow to the Glad Tidings Rock. We took a loop through Mrs.Lanier's 50 acres and Billy showed us the work he had done and is planning to do. The pine forest was beautiful and the rock larger than I had imagined. Today was amazing. When we took young son back into Boston for school I spied a homeless camp at off the roadside. All around was the noise and movement of people in the city. Then tonight about 11:30 I spied a pair of deer meander through the side yard here at home and in the background I could hear a owl hooting. I guess you could call both

Having a week to myself is pretty good. I am relaxing and doing picky little things like sewing on buttons and fixing broken pieces of jewelry. I am making an effort to get all my Scout paperwork lined up for the year. I will be camping with the Girl Scouts the end of the month. Well, back to work yesterday after a week away. It was like I had never gone. Some old work, same old mistakes. But, after work i went for a swim in Hingham Harbor. Because it is a mud beach I can only swim there two hours before and two hours after high tide. At peak of hig tide we all dance upon the water.

i just read Dread Pirate Duff's comment left way back when. I have been so tied up with family and work I haven't been keeeping up with this journal thing. Did the apartment get clean?
