DAY 4 - the shooting
We went back today, and thankfully we had a little bit more time than last time. All in all I spent 4 hours setting up and taking the pictures, with a short feeding break during the session :)
I surprisingly enjoyed working with Dominik, I was really lucky with him, he is a really calm little fella who smiles all the time, and enjoyes attention. It ( Read more... ) -
DAY 3
So we finally had the first talk, they told me they didn't have anything special in their minds, so I just decided to figure out where to do the shooting, and stuff, still neded something in the background which is big enough for the baby to lay down on something nice and warm and it's big enough to be the background as well.

day 2
We have decided to do it in two days, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. as the family has other programs as well, and I'm not sure 2 hours would be enough to get done with this. I'm gonna use the first day to get used to the environment and to talk with the family so I know what they would like to get, and also of corse to get to know the baby ( Read more... ) -
day 01
We are going down to Dusnok, Hungary tomorrow to take pictures of Dominik :)
It's going to be quite a challenge as I will be totally alone, I have never worked with kids under the age of 10 and also there is no proper studio equipment. I'm going to use whatever I find as background.

RESEARCH 03
To be honest, I'm not absolutely fond of Kelly Ryden's work as most of her pictures are too-composed. Well yes, if you poste a new born baby in funny poses it will stay that way, because it's a NEWBORN. Her photography is not really diverse, but has some amazing shots anyways. Even if it's not 100% my taste her work is quite inspiring!

I never thought findin decent baby photographers would be that difficult. Most of them are over-editing the pictures until the poor kids look like a bunch of porcelain alien things. Finally I found the footprints photography. Erin Drallos photographer does an absolutely lovely job with the little devils :) I think her pictures are everything a ( Read more... ) -
RESEARCH 01
After days of reaserch I can probably say, Amanda Keeys of the best infant photographers around. I absolutely adore her pictures, they are nice and smooth, basically all of them perfectly edited, and just adorable. She uses the surroundings and different object, mostly child related ones, tiny little hats, socks and accessories :)

new opportunity
It's absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to find work experience possibilities in this country. But fortunately it seems I found a new opportunity. I'm going to go down to South Hungary, and take some shots for a family. Mostly baby photos, I have never done this before so this will be quite a big experience, can't wait for it!

Well, it seems I have to find a different work experience option, as Dani is in the hospital now. I'm looking for ideas right now, but this is going to be difficult. Meanwhile I find something I will just keep doing random shoots, and trying out my new lens :)
