1. verizon 1a. generally, i am happy. i get a signal in the most random places, and they're typically flexible about changing my plan, etc. 2(a). 300 "anytime" minutes. 3,000 night/weekend minutes. no long distance or roaming charges unless i go over my minutes [which i never do.] i have a plan that lets me call from any 12 of the western/southwestern states without any extra charges. and since i'm not usually anywhere else, it's fine. 3. i've had really good reception, almost everywhere. 4. it's a kyocera phone, one of the cheapest they had, and perfectly fine. 5. i just have a regular ring. i can't stand any of the *weird* ones. especially the ones that play songs. barf.
(1) Verizon Wireless.(1a) I'm generally happy with the provider, now that i've changed my plan. I signed up a year and a bit ago for an all east coast plan with limited minutes, and now that my cell is my primary daytime phone, my bill was ridiculous. SO i switched plans for 300 daytime minutes and 4000 nights and weekends, which is more than enough for me

1a) Right now, I am not too pleased becasue they have messed up my voice mail and it longer timestamps any incoming messages. And this from their 'new, improved' serviced they installed two months ago. The old service was better.
2) Work pays for 500 minutes a month.
2a) This is more than enough for my phone usage. I don't use the phone outside of work-related activities.
3) Never had any problems w/ reception. Though I do lose signal when I go underground on the T, but that's to be expected.
4) All I'm say is: Don't get a Qualcomm phone.
5) No, mine is just a standard *ping ping* sort of sound.
5a) Anytime James' phone rings, it plays "Cars" by Gary Numan, and I end up getting the song stuck in my head for the rest of the day. =-)
1. voice stream wireless [i used sprint for a while, and it gave me no problems, but that was when they first started like 4 years ago. now they suck ass
