The ending was so tragic--The Renegades knew the ending was about to come, but it just had to be. There was no facing away from it.
And yet, I knew it! I had a feeling the Absent Silhouettes were going to be in there somehow. It's so bittersweet, as the term is used before, but those Nobodies will always somehow live on that way. Mrr...
What a journey you've taken me and the rest of the readers in! I'm speechless, and the only thing I can really say is...
Don't push the dark mood of the fic too far. We all knew the ending was going to be this way.
The 13th Anthology had closed, the last notes of the piano trickled off into nothingness. Yet, the song's last tone resonates once more. Albeit lost, such media is rediscovered.
Yeah, I never even dare watch it all the way though. CREEPY, it is. O.O Which of coruse makes it perfect for this ending.
Axel, I imagine gets out of it mostly because Roxas would be upset if he didn't, and while Xemnas don't care for Axel, he needs Roxas. Just his luck.
We wanted to leave the ending vague, so everyone could make up their own minds of that actually happened afterwards. But if they survived, yes, I imagine some rahter detailed questioning over those photos... XDXD
Ah~ What a depressing yet relieving way to end a great story. I love all the symbolism you guys used and I loved all the different interactions in this chapter!
*cries more*
I can't believe it's really over...
I was hoping for them to find their hearts in some random heartless or something, but I guess that would downplay the dramatics. And it would've been completely silly. lD;
*blows nose*
Well, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with re-reading this fic. It was the best! First time I've ever read a long fanfic that was excellently written, kept me hooked, and was completed! I'll miss you guys. *waves*
I haven't been following much lately (RL sucks)... but I have to comment on this.
Firstly, congratulations to you all for completing this wonderful project. 3 years is such a long time and I cant even imagine writing a fic on this scale let alone at such amazing quality.
I only discovered this fic about midway through Book 2, but I immediately fell in love and read through it all in a couple of days. Actually I think I discovered it in the middle of the hiatus last year... lol so impatient me not only had to wait for more but also had to face the fact that this fic might never have been updated again <333 I'm so glad it was
Though sad, I liked the ending, as it was fitting. Though never having seen the related disney film... I think I'm missing the symbolism. Oh well ;_; the ending is sad enough already for me.
Geez, I cant even think of anything relatively coherent to say.
So thank you so very very much for writing this wonderful fic and sharing it with us. <3
Thank you! It's been a great experience and it's all thanks to you readers. ^_^
We are very pleased with the ending. You should see the movie, if only for one of the most despicable Disney villains ever. Not even Cruella deVille or Gaston even gets close to the creepyness.
I started crying at the part about Lexaeus and Zexion. They really are a perfect couple...Managing to keep their relationship so strong through all of that.
It took me a few reads to get whether or not they had been killed...(alcohol at New year's...Whoops)Poor, poor Renegades...They deserved forgiveness...Damnit Xemnas, you arse...Still, I hope they have a better time in the next year!
Wow...I can't believe this is over...It seems only a short time ago that I stumbled upon this...And now...It's all done...
It's been a fucking good ride though, and I take my hat off to you three. You've written what is likely the most successful and renowned fanfiction ever.

NOW, onto that alternate ending! :D

Well, in the end there was just nowhere left to run for them. But it's been a very interesting journey on the way to here. ;-)

Thank you! ^_^ That's great to hear, means we pulled it off just like we wanted to.
It WOULD have rather thrown the mood. ;-) Besides, I like tragic endings. But one never knows...
Thank you! ^_^

XDXD Well, it was menat to be vague, adn alcohol probably didn't help. ;-) But at least you managed to notice that Xemnas is, indeed, a bastard.
It's been a great ride. Thank you for coming along! ^_^
