So I finished sculpting the hands last night and finished molding them just now. I won't be able to open them until Wednesday because I'm leaving for Spokane for 5 days in about 5 hours. Should be nice seeing my family, I'm sure they're going to enjoy having Stella around ( Read more... )

Well, I'm in the process of molding the head now. I finished the back half last night and will be starting on the front half tonight. I may have already screwed up on the mouth, but I think I can fix it. I need to make a seperate part for inside the mouth, but I got ahead of myself and decided that putting a splash coat inside the mouth was a good ( Read more... )

I'm finally getting my Ultracal 30 for making my molds tomorrow, so I'm finally starting to finish the head. I had been waiting because it's so dry here that the head has been cracking a little, so I need to do the detailing right before I go to mold it, otherwise I could lose some in a repair attempt. So I'm finally buying all my supplies for Gluttony, as well as the Zabimaru commission I took on. I'm now going to cast Gluttony in latex foam, which will require me to make very heavy ultracal molds of everything, then fill it with whipped latex foam (whipped with the two Sunbeam Mixmaster mixers I got off ebay), and then bake it in an improvised ( Read more... )

Put the eyes in last night, just some rounded acrylic disks for now, but should have some sort of mirrored lens in for the finished product. I took a little off the top of the head to adjust the proportions a bit, and I kinda tweaked the mouth, but I'm still not happy with it.
