It is with a heavy heart that I regret to inform you guys that Zaye, butifulyletdown, passed away on Tuesday, August 16th, 2011, at 10:46pm. I hope you all will forgive me in my delay in telling you, but she was my best friend... and I had to sit with this and process it for awhile myself before I could share it with any of you. I just want to tell everyone that

Thank you so much Massena for continuing to be concerned and praying for Zaye. It really meant a lot how much all of you cared for her. I can tell just by the prayer and hope messages that were posted that she mattered to all of you.

Count me as one more of the many, many people who have had Zaye in their thoughts and prayers. I'm so, so sorry to hear this news. My heart goes out to her family, they must be devastated. It wasn't just her young age; she was a generous and thoughtful person. I will always remember the encouraging e-mail she sent me, praising my fanfic, which came just at a point when I was thinking about giving it all up. She was someone very special, and I'll miss her. :(

Thank you for posting this. As Massena said, you are an amazing and loyal friend, and I'm sure you were a great comfort to Zaye. *Hugs*

Carcassi, Thank you for sharing your memories of Zaye. She was so generous and thoughtful. I'm not surprised that she encouraged you with your writing. Writing was one of her passions and one of the many things she and I shared. She was definitely special.

I am so very sorry. I just found out from Massena that Zaye passed away. I remember her being one of the early people welcoming me into this fandom, then not seeing her around here and TWoP in the last few years. Though I knew she'd been ill, I didn't think it had led to this.

It's so good you were there for her and I'm sure she appreciated it and I'm so glad you let us know.

And please let her family know that she touched people in this virtual world. It really does matter. Her comments were always encouraging and she was an all-around pleasant person in a rather harsh fandom. She really will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. I read about this earlier today in the ksite thread for "the absence of Chloe". I would keep checking there & on fanfiction.net to see about any updates on her work or health. I had heard she was sick but hadn't heard anything in a long time. I had to do a few searches to find this so I could pass along my condolences.
