It was a Beautiful Letdown...

It is with a heavy heart that I regret to inform you guys that Zaye, butifulyletdown, passed away on Tuesday, August 16th, 2011, at 10:46pm. I hope you all will forgive me in my delay in telling you, but she was my best friend... and I had to sit with this and process it for awhile myself before I could share it with any of you. I just want to tell everyone that

Thank you for your kind words about Zaye. So many of you made fandom fun to be in for her as well. Her Chlark/Chlois circle of friends were like a real second family to her, so thank you.

I am so sorry to hear about this--I'd been praying that Zaye would make a recovery. But knowing how much she was suffering, I am glad that she is finally at peace.

I think you have also been an extraordinary friend to her and I'd like to thank you for all you have done for Zaye and for helping us understand what she went through.

Kathy, You don't know how much it means to me that you think I was a good friend to Zaye, because she was my BEST friend. I thought I knew what a best friend was before I met Zaye, but she truly showed me and I hope that I was even a fraction of a friend to her that she was to me.

Thank you so much for continuing to pray and leave messages for Zaye and me throughout her illness. I know I wasn't able to respond to all of them, but I want you to know that they were all received and passed on.

I'm so sorry. I'm SO sorry. I can't even really process this. Zaye was... amazing. She was funny and sweet and wonderful; she was on the short list of people that while I met through fandom I truly adored as a person and was so happy to know and have around. It's so hard to even process this.

Thank you too for keeping us on the loop and keeping us connected to her, I know it really meant a lot to many of us even though I'm sure it was hard for you as well. I hope her family and everyone else in her "real life" know how many people she touched and are missing her all over the world.

I want all of you to know that fandom, including ALL of her friends that she met through fandom, were apart of her REAL life. Just as much as I was apart of her real life. Don't think of yourselves as "just" her fandom friends or "just" her online friends. She considered you guys her friends, period. And she loved ALL of you, just as much as she loved Chlark.

She touched so many people and thank you for expressing just how much.

I am so sorry to hear that. Zaye was so very lovely and I have nothing but good memories of her. I can't even imagine what you're going through. I kept hpping that no news neant good news and she's often been in my thoughts the last few months. Thank you so much for letting us know. I will keep you and all her loved ones in my prayers.
