Wow, I haven't updated in almost five months. It's funny though, because I do visit LJ daily... I just don't take the time to post! Since I've not updated in so long and I am sure most of you don't remember exactly what happened througout the year that I did mention, I'll tell you about the year in general ( Read more... )

Yaaay, a Loreanne post! I've been bad about posting on here too, but also reading every day (or at least every other!) hehe. Well I'm glad to hear things are going well for you and Jesse, and that you had a good time visiting the family for the holidays. I hear from Andrea that you are living in my neck of the woods now?! She is going to give you a call about us getting together, possibly Thursday? And I think it's great that you're taking the editing certificate course...several of the editors and past interns at my job have taken that through UC Berkeley, so it's very helpful. Good luck! I am no longer working in editorial at Avalon :( They moved me to marketing, which is fun but I'm not 100% sure it's where I want to be. I guess you never know til you try. Anyway, when you move to Seattle you should try to get an editorial job with Rick Steves company in Edmonds...I've never actually met any of the people but working on the guides and corresponding with them via email, it seems like a great company to work for!

Seattle is waiting for you! poluowau January 6 2009, 23:15:05 UTC
I'm sooooo excited! I've been looking at apartments for you and also looking for jobs (just in case you want to explore the writing market up here with me :) ). It's going to be so much fun and I can't wait to show you all the fun things Kyle and I have discovered in our neighborhood. I'm already thinking we should check and see when Rosie Thomas is coming back so we can get tickets!

Oh! And I can't wait to ride the train together to visit Vancouver and Victoria, and also to go on ski trips and camping trips and backpacking and to go on walks around Greenlake and see concerts at the Showbox and to go puddle jumping after the first rain after spring and to try out new coffee shops and resturaunts and so much more!
